Leo was wondering around the school when all of a sudden, he was struck with a feeling of hunger. He rubbed his stomache and started to dig in his pocket. He pulled out his wallet and opened it up to see that he had no money at the moment. He could have used his debit card, but he was already at school and didn't feel like going all the way into town.
Leo ran his hand through his bright orange colored hair and started walking to the cafeteria. He was wearing a pair of black A.D.I.D.A.S', a pair of black baggy cargo pants, a black long sleeve turtle neck shirt, and a black head band. He walked with his hands stuck in his pockets until he finally arrived at the cafeteria.
He walked over to the fast food line and got a double bacon chili cheese burger and a set of fries. He also walked to the soda vending machine and got a Mountain Dew. He walked over to a table that was further away from the main groups that rolled. He sat down and started eating. Like usual, he had to block out all the whispering from the other students and continued to eat.

It was lunch time once again, and Jess made her way towards the cafeteria in a bit of a gloomy mood. She had been up late for the past few nights studying for a few exams that were just going to end up killing her. She told her friends that she would probably not eat and if she did, she wouldn't sit with them, because she knew her mind would not be with their conversations but on the task ahead of her within the next few days.
Since today just seemed to be an off day for Jess, she wore a pair of white, black, and yellow Nike's on her feet, a pair of black jersey shorts with a plain gray hoodie that fit her well. She felt comfortable in these clothes and she didn't care about how her hair really looked, it was just throw up into a pony tail and possibly looked horrid.
A sigh came from her lips, as she made her way through the line, a history book in her hand, opened to some pages that her eyes scanned. Jessica reached down grabbing an apple and then a bottle of water and headed off towards a random table and sat down, placing the book down in front of her.
She laid the book down in front of her and took a bite from the apple. As she read over a few more pages, Jess was starting to feel that her brain was going to explode at any moment and it caused a groan/growl to erupt within her chest and a glare formed onto her face, as she stared down at the book before her.

Leo groaned a little as he finished eating. He was full but still a little thirsty. He had completely devoured his cheeseburger and fries and drank his Mountain Dew. He got up and again opened up his wallet pulling out his last dollar. He walked past the girl that just seemed to be eating an apple and drinking water. Sometimes Leo wished that could satisfy his appetite, but behold, it wouldn't even tip the iceburg.
He walked over to the machine and put the dollar into it. He pressed the Mountain Dew button and the machine had started to spit out his Mountain Dew. But wouldn't he know it, it got stuck. Leo let out another groan and leaned his head against the machine. Sure, he could just shake the machine some and get his drink out. He could even reach up into it and pull it out. But he didn't feel like being the center of even more attention.
So he just sat there, leaned up against the machine. Luckily, there wasn't a line or actually anybody in there that wanted something from the Pepsi machine. Leo just felt himself getting more and more agrivated though. If only he had another dollar, or even seventy five cents for that matter, his problems would be solved. "f**kin machine..." Leo said to himself.

Groaning once more, Jess slammed the book closed and shoved it away from her; she was tired of reading through books, she was tired of studying and most of all, she exhausted beyond hopes. But the girl knew she still had more studying she needed to do and if she even tried to take a nap, she would fall asleep and sleep for the rest of the day and night maybe some caffeine would help.. she thought to herself and let out a sigh, as she finished taking a few more bites of the apple and stood up.
Jess threw the water bottle away, along with the apple core and reached into the pocket of her hoddie and pulled out her wallet. She made her way towards the vending machine, but stopped as she saw someone she never saw before, possibly a new person, sitting there up against the machine. The girl pushed a smile to her lips "The machine isn't broken, is it?" she asked, in hopes that it wasn't.
As she stared down at the other, she studied him a bit; he looked, well..interesting. The bright color hair kind of popped a light on in her head. The guy did seem a bit familiar, maybe she had a class with him. Jess took a small sniff of the air and realized that the male before her was of the lycan breed He must be in some of my classes then.. she thought to herself, the smile still stayed on her lips.

Leo had just about given up hope. But just as he was about to walk away, he saw the girl that had the tiny appetite walking towards him. Or maybe, it was just the machine. He sniffed the air as she approached him. It was a mix between perfume, food, and lycan. But not a lycan like him, she was a lycan of wolf.
He swallowed deeply just before she reached him and then she began to speak. "The machine isn't broken, is it..." he said in his head over again. "Uhh, no, I just think my soda is stuck. Maybe it will have better luck with you?" He said taking a step back and put his hands up as if he were offering the machine to her. He had a smile that matched hers on his face.
He had thought she had seemed familiar. He never really forgets people's smells and perhaps she had been in a class with him. Or shared a locker close to him. He thought and thought and thought untill it finally clicked, "Mr. Norris' class!" It was self defense last year that he had seen her. He didn't like the class so he dropped it the next day. But he was sure he had seen her before.

"Oh yeah.." she gave a small laugh "It sometimes does that.." Jess stepped off to the side of it and gave it a kick and heard a clink from the bottom of it. A grin spread across her lips, as she reached down and grabbed the can of soda and handed it off towards him "Here you go."
Jess, herself, put in a dollar and pushed the button for the mountain dew and grabbed it as it came out. She knew that this would give her some kind of energy for a little bit to keep herself awake and wired, she needed it. As she shoved her wallet back into the hoodie pocket, she held a hand out towards the other "I'm Jessica." the smile still stayed on her lips, she didn't know what it was, but she just couldn't help but to smile towards this other.
She gave a bit more thought as to where she thought she knew him from what class was it.. Jess thought to herself and it hit her "Did you ever take a defense class here?" she asked curiously.

Leo looked down with only his eyes and a grin and small laugh came from him. "Thanks," he said as he took the Mountain Dew from her and as two of his fingers brushed against her wrist. If she had looked down at that time, she would have seen that he had his fingernails painted black. He uncapped the bottle and took a sip from the Mountain Dew and leaned up against the machine on his forarm and crossed one of his legs.
"I'm Leo. And I see you got good taste," he said as he pointed at the Mountain Dew as it fell down. Normally, Leo didn't smile this much. Especially in such a random place and a random loacation. He knew that the small amount of caffene and sugar that was contained in this twenty ounce bottle of green goodness wouldn't do a think for him in terms of energy.
"I did. It was with...uhhh...Mr. Norris. I only stayed one day though. I wasn't really into his class. He seemed to intense for me." Leo said with a small laugh. He was sure he could handle some guy named Norris but he just didn't really like the class anyways. "Hey...weren't you in it too?" Leo asked pointing his finger at her with a little shake.

Something shot through her at a simple little touch and Jess moved her eyes down to see that only a couple of his fingers brushed against her wrist, she moved her eyes back up to him, smiling still "No problem." she told him.
Jess gave a small laugh "I normally don't drink this, I just need something to get my energy going at least for a little bit longer." she told him with a small shrug and it was true. She knew the energy wasn't going to last her for hours, but at least for a bit longer, then she'd probably be happy and be able to get some study done, though, right now, the thought of leaving and going studying just wasn't really crossing her mind.
"Yea, I was." she said with a small laugh, shaking her head a bit "That's why you look familiar. I lasted in there for about three days and walked out." she rolled her eyes a bit at the thought of even being in there for longer than a day "He was just...I don't even know."

"Cramming huh? You know, you dump seventy five percent of the information you cram the morning before the exam right." Leo said letting out a little laugh. It was strange on some of the statstics he kept in his head. "If you really want to study and retain most of the information, study in the morning time. Between seven and ten. Thats when the brain retains more information." Leo said shrugging, feeling different than a loner. Now he felt like a nerd.
He look down with the same grin on his face and thought, "Well, she's still here talking to me, I mine as well ask..." He gave it a little more thought and finally came out with it, "If you ever need someone to help you study, my schedule is usually free." He said giving a little shrug. It was worth the shot. The worst that could have happened was that she said no or piss off.
He took another sip of his Mountain Dew which he held idly in his left hand. He still heard some distant whispers in one of the corners in the back of the cafeteria. It was the prep's table. Even with his preternatural hearing, he couldn't make out what they were saying, but he knew that they were talking about him. His hair was the only 'orange' thing in the cafeteria. Which just so happened to clash with his wardrobe.

Jess gave a nod "Yea..Exams are hell.." she said with a slight groan and rolled her eyes a bit. She couldn't wait til the exams were done and over with, she'd be back to her normal self and go off on more runs than she was doing during this time period. She took in his information and raised an eyebrow "Hmm, that sounds like a good idea." she gave a smile "I'll be sure to try that. Thanks." she told him.
She watched him curiously, studying him a bit as he seemed to take some time to think about something. When the words finally came from his mouth, the smile widen a bit on her lips "I could always use an extra hand with studying." Jess told him and it was true; she tried asking her friends, but every time they got together to study, it always ended up being something else, which hated more than anything.
Seeing him take a drink of his mountain dew, made her realize that she had the one still in her hand. She untwisted the cap and took a drink from it and placed the cap back on, shoving it within her hoodie pocket as well. A few familiar voices came to her ears, and her eyes narrowed off towards a table, a small growl came from her chest, as she rolled her eyes a bit. Jess turned back towards Leo and gave him a smile "Would you care to start now with helping me?" she asked him.

"Yeah, exams can be hell. But as long as you don't stress too much about it then they won't be that bad." He said twisting the cap back onto the half-drunken bottle of Mountain Dew. Leo had thought about going to the batting cages after letting his food settled down. "It's no problem. It's what I do everytime and I'm at a 3.92 grade point average," He told her scratching his head looking back down.
"I would love to help you study. What subjects are doing right now?" Leo said looking at some of the books that she had tucked underneath her arm but he couldn't get a good glimpse at what they where. Leo was good at most subjects, the only one he had a real problem with was math. Besides that, he was a golden student, when he attended class. His teachers considered him a part-time attendee at best, but his grades where so good that they never reported him.
He nodded in the direction of the table. "Don't worry about them. I'm used to it. Been getting it all my life," he said and it wasn't exactly true. He used to look handsome and well dressed. He had the money to buy all the fancy clothes and things that everyone else had, he just chose not to be flashy about it. He wanted to be himself. But he knew what some of the consiquences of dressing the way he did was. "So, where do you want to go to study?" Leo asked finally standing upright.

Jess let out a small groan and shook her head "I always stress out when exams are going on. I know that I really don't have to worry about them, but.." she let out a sigh and shook her head once more "My parents always know when exams are, so I get a call from them about every hour and the pressure really gets going with them." the one thing she hated the most about her parents, was the pressure they always put on her to do this and that, to make sure that she exceeded well in everything.
The smile came back to her lips at hearing that he'd help her "Thanks a million, seriously." she said with a small laugh "Well, history is the main one right now." she gave a small shrug of it "I'm a bit irritated with it at the moment, so skipping that would be fantastic." she said with the smile still on her lips "The others would have to be English and of course, the dreaded math." she groaned a bit at the thought of even touching the math section.
Her eyes drifted a bit back towards the group of girls at the table, still laughing and talking away, she rolled her eyes once more and shook her head "Bunch of airheads, they are." she told him, and she hoped that they heard her as she looked back towards Leo. She was ready to say more, but she watched as he stood upright and the smile came back to her lips "Hmm, somewhere quiet would be nice.." Jess gave a bit of thought as to where to go "Ooh..there is usually an empty classroom, that could work."

"Well, at least they care..." Leo thought to himself. He didn't want to show it in his face though. "Well, they care about you. They just want you to do good, I'm sure of it." Leo said smiling. "But it wouldn't hurt to turn your phone off every now and then. You know, when you need some privacy." Leo said looking off to the side. Some of his hair fell down into his face covering up one of his eyes.
Leo's parents didn't call him, ever. They didn't care about his grades, simply because they knew he wasn't going to fail. Actually, they knew he was going to pass with flying colors. Leo had always thought about just failing out or dropping out just to piss his parents off. But he would never do that. At least not now. But if they ever did try and push him harder than they already did, he would probably do it.
"Its all good. Do you know which classroom it is?" Leo asked with a shrug. He wasn't quiet sure which one she was talking about. "Well, if History is the one that irratates you the most, then thats the one we will start with." Leo said with a smile. He was trying to stay away from the math as much as possible. He hated math, even though he was still passing with an 'A', but he just found it boring and dull.

Jess gave a faint smile towards his words; of course they cared, she knew that "I know that. And believe me, I do turn my phone off for hours at a time to just have privacy and as soon as it's turned back on.." Jess shook her head a bit and laughed some "My voicemail is full of messages from my mother." it wasn't that Jess didn't like her parents or even her mother, but she just wished they didn't pressure her as much and always worry about her as much as they did.
She gave him a small nod "I do know of a classroom that is empty for the rest of the evening, I believe it's only used during the morning time and that's about it." she gave a small shrug. Jess really couldn't see were they'd get in trouble for using a classroom to study for exams.
A small groan came from her mouth at the thought of tackling her history first, but she gave a smile in the end "I suppose it would be nice to get that out of the way just so I don't have to worry about it anymore."

"Well, lead the way then ma'dam," Leo said bowing to her. His brightly colored hair falling down in front of his face. Leo was an alright teacher when it came down to studying but he wasn't sure on what he could do for her here. Hopefully it wouldn't just be a waste of time. He would feel horrible for that. Leo knew of the trouble that they could get into for being in there. Cause he got caught in an empty room once.
"Yeah, but folks will be folks y'know." He said with a smile. He was glad that his parents didn't harrass him like that. Although he would be happy if they gave him a ring every now and then. If it were Leo's phone and parents, he would ask them to not call so much, but it wasn't Leo's phone and it wasn't Leo's parents.
He heard the groan come out of her and he figured it was because of history, but he thought it would be best if they got the subject she doesn't like out of the way first. They didn't have to spend very long on it, just enough to cover the material that she was getting tested on and then they could move to a different subject.
